Contributions of the literature to the study of organizations

Abstract

The paper identifies contributions from the literature, novels and stories, for the study of human behaviour in organizations, specially for their use in educational activities. Antecedents are presented about the application of literary works in the social sciences and the field of organizations. It also reports on the use of Chilean stories in the education of professionals in Chile. The contributions from those stories are identified and commented. The paper reveals that novels and stories offer rich and varied contents for learning about human life in organizations particularly for educational purposes.
